Whilst in Uganda on a wildlife tour a 13day Uganda bird-watching safari envelops a large variety of colorful bird species.

Day 1: Arrival in ENTEBBE.

13day Uganda-bird watching safari starts you meet your professional bird guide and transfer to the hotel for overnight stay. Early arrivals may wish to go birding in the botanical gardens at Entebbe. stay in a hotel in Kampala.

Day 2: Birding tour to Mamba Swamp.

Birds common in Mamba Swamp: Green-breasted Pitta, which is another sought after the bird of Uganda. Other birds include African Pitta, Grey-winged Robin, Red-winged Francolin, Joyful Greenbul, White-napped Pigeon, Abyssinian Ground Thrush, Red-chested Flufftail, White-bellied Crested Flycatcher, Uganda Woodland Warbler, White-collared Oliveback, Leaf-love, African Broadbill, Willcock’s Honeyguide, White-winged Warbler, White-spotted Flufftail, Scaly-throated Honeyguide.

Day 3: Travel to Murchison falls national park via ziwa rhino sanctuary

Travel by road in a Landcruiser safari jeep you are driven by your drive northwards towards Murchison falls national park. But first, visit the southern white rhinoceros of Ziwa rhino sanctuary. Most importantly visiting the Ziwa rhino sanctuary helps the conservation effort.

After lunch, you travel 54kms to Masindi town and 24kms to the gate of the Murchison falls national park.

As you bird watch your way to the lodge where you will be spending a night Paraa Lodge.

Day 4: In Murchison falls

Morning game drive on the plains of Murchison falls national park while birding.

The afternoon you take a boat ride to the Murchison falls birding along the Victoria Nile.

Because a safari in Africa is once in a lifetime experience we consider the need to also watch the big game and wildlife.

Day 5: Kaniyo Pabidi

Crossing the river to Kaniyo pabidi area to look for Chocolate backed and Blue-breasted Kingfishers; Black-billed Touracos, White-thighed Hornbills.

Day: 6 & 7 Travel to Kibale Forest National Park

Rest with a cold drink while gazing at the Rwenzori range on the horizon with changing cloud cover.

Or just enjoy the distant calls of primates and chimpanzees in the chilling forest of Kibale forest at primate lodge. Besides you have had a rough long drive recuperating should be most important now.

Day 8: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day 11: To Bwindi forest national park

In the morning we leave Queen Elizabeth national park for Bwindi forest. Much as Bwindi forest in famously known for gorilla tracking, therefore it is very important to note that the 13day Uganda bird-watching safari will continue with some birding opportunities within the forest.

Day 12: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi

The day is for Gorilla tracking, in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest as part of 13day Uganda bird-watching safari. The gorilla tracking activity starts early as the mandatory prerequisite, you will need to ready yourself for an experience of a lifetime.

First 6:00 am breakfast
Second 7:30 am travel to briefing point where talk is delivered by a head ranger.
Third 8:00 am the grouping of the tracker is done and gorilla tracking activity is underway.
